She's only 33-years-old but Sharon Bowes is headed to her fourth Olympic Games in Sydney. It could have been five, since Bowes won the 1996 Olympic trials but Canada never earned a quota spot for the Atlanta Games in women's rifle.

  "I have no intention of going to eight Olympics like Ian Millar," said Bowes, who qualified for the Games in both three position rifle and air rifle. "That's mind-boggling for me. But it was a disappointing situation for me in 1996 when we didn't achieve our quotas. So this year I would love to make the final and reach the top-eight."

  Bowes has posted four top-10 Olympic results in her career including a fourth place as a 17-year-old at the 1984 Los Angeles Games. She also has five Commonwealth Games gold medals in three appearances and has competed at four Pan Am Games. She works as an office administrator for Planned Parenthood in Waterloo.
