Iain Brambell was a member of the sixth place lightweight fours at the 1999
world championships. He started rowing in 1987-88 while at high school in
Victoria. He also raced for four years at Brock University in St.
Catharines, ON, competing in eights and single sculls. At the 1998 world
championships he rowed with his brother James in pairs.

Sept. 18: Men's lightweight four: Chris Davidson, Oakville, Ont.; Jon Beare, Toronto; Iain Brambell, Brentwood Bay, B.C.; Gavin Hassett, Victoria, finished second to France in heat, advanced to semifinals.
