Valerie Dionne, member of Canada's world junior silver medal winning team
in 1999, has competed in five juvenile, 15 provincial and 11 national
championships. At the 1998 Canadian juvenile championships she was selected
MVP, leading her team to the bronze medal. In 1997, she was a member of a
national youth team which placed third at the International Youth
Invitational Tournament at the Netherlands. In 1999, Dionne was a member of
the FINA Cup team which qualified for the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She
participated in the 1999 Junior Konex Cup in Kosice, and was the tournament
top scorer.
