Fantasy Recap: May 17
By CHRIS NICHOLS -- SLAM! Sports
Calgary 3 San Jose 0 (Calgary leads series 3-2)
The Flames showed the critics that all of the "out of steam" comments directed their way were just hot air; the team continued its great road record, taking back the lead in this series... Jarome Iginla scored his ninth goal of the playoffs and here's an interesting stat: Patrick Marleau (12 points total) has points in only six of his 16GP, while Iginla (16 points total) has points in 13 of 18 games his team has played... Craig Conroy's goal was his 13th point overall... With his goal Monday, Marcus Nilson now has four points in his past four games... Ville Nieminen had one point in the first series, two in the second and three in the third so far after his assist in Game Five... In case you were wondering with all of Robyn Regehr's well-deserved press lately, his fantasy worth is still relatively low and he'll likely remain a great real life D-man with low-end value in most fantasy leagues... Miikka Kiprusoff has only allowed four goals in the three games played in San Jose in this series, but six goals in the two games in Calgary where the series is now headed... Vinnie Damphousse held to form for this series and is now pointless in every game in San Jose vs. Calgary, but he has points in both games in Calgary... Brad Stuart has one lone point in this series and needs to step up and have a big game Wednesday night.
