Fantasy Recap: May 3
By CHRIS NICHOLS -- SLAM! Sports
Calgary 1 Detroit 0 OT (Calgary wins series 4-2)
My Cup winning prediction team died with Detroit's loss tonight, but my Cinderella team is alive and kicking thanks to some heroics from Miikka Kiprusoff, who collected back-to-back shutouts against Detroit to close out the series... Martin Gelinas (5G, 4A in 13GP) was the hero and this guy has three career overtime playoff goals - and all three have won his team the series... Craig Conroy stretched his point streak to three games with his assist and he now has 2G, 7A total... Jarome Iginla was outstanding in the most important game of the season to date for the Flames and the captain has a total of 6G, 6A and a staggering 50 SOG... Brett Hull had one lone goal in this series and is taking some heat in the media, but he did manage 19 shots in the series and he's clearly still one of the guys you'd most want to have in a clutch situation... Robert Lang had three points in this series while he had six in six games against Nashville... Curtis Joseph was outstanding in the game and the series as a whole and deserves huge credit for being his usual classy self through this nightmare of a season... Shanny had one goal in the entire playoffs... Aside from a two point game in each series, Ray Whitney was shut down entirely... After getting four points in the second game of the series, Nick Lidstrom had one point in his final four games... Matt Schneider had no points in his final seven games.
