Desmarais suspended one game
BOUCHERVILLE - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League disciplinary committee today imposed a one-game suspension to Shawinigan Cataractes forward Joshua Desmarais.
The suspension follows an incident that occurred in a game against the Victoriaville Tigres last Tuesday in which Desmarais illegally hit an opposing player.
The decision was rendered after viewing the videotape of the incident and consulting all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.
In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
