SLAM!'s Wrestling Rankings
The following sports entertainment rankings are based not only on wrestling ability, but also
the wrestler's ability to work the stick, play the crowd and get over.
Whether or not an angle or storyline is being played out well also
affects the outcome. These rankings and opinions are those solely of
SLAM! Wrestling's writers. Any differences in opinion with the rankings? Email the writer and let them know how you feel.

Nick Tylwalk's Breakdown:
Chris Jericho retained his undisputed title and the
top spot atop the latest version of the rankings
thanks to a big assist from the nWo. Will he get
booed as a heel at WrestleMania in Toronto? Probably
not, even working against someone as over as Triple
H... Given the WWF's love of three-way matches, it's
possible Angle isn't out of the title picture just
yet. It's hard to figure who his dance partner would
be if he's not in the title match, plus he has history
with Stephanie McMahon... If you missed the 2/18 Raw,
let's just say that the writing team created a very
convenient excuse for keeping The Rock off camera for
a few weeks if he still has work to do on The
Scorpion King... Of all the surreal things happening
in the WWF, I'd say the Goldust-Rob Van Dam feud ranks
highest on my "List of Things I Never Thought I'd
See." I expected RVD to get a main event push later
this year, but with the nWo around all bets are off...
Undertaker-Flair at WrestleMania? Thanks but I'd
rather not... Say what you want about Hogan, but the
man has a knack for being in the right place at the
right time. Who else could be out of wrestling and
waltz back into a feud with The Rock? Now someone
just has to get him some looser jeans to help him flee
the scene of his ambulance attacks faster... Count me
as one of the people surprised that the APA got the
tag team shot at WrestleMania... Hey, didn't you used
to be Christian? You know, the guy who finished off
the phrase, "Edge and..." ... Expect the next
rankings update in two weeks.
