    Chile freezes out England

WEMBLEY, England (AP) -- Chile beat England for the first time, winning an exhibition game 2-0 Wednesday night on a pair of goals by Marcelo Salas.
Salas scored in the final minute of the first half on a left-footed shot from 15 yards out off a pass from Jose Luis Sierra. Salas was pulled down in the penalty area by Sol Campbell in the 79th minute and beat goalkeeper Nigel Martyn on the penalty kick.
Chile, in Group B of the World Cup with Italy, Austria and Cameroon, had been 0-2-2 against England. The English, in Group G with Colombia, Romania and Tunisia, are winless in their last nine games against South American opponents.
Michael Owen, a Liverpool forward, became the youngest player this century on England's national team and the fourth-youngest ever at 18 years, 59 days. He had a chance to score early and may have been England's best player Wednesday night.
