Germany wins Cup warmup
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) -- Germany beat Saudi Arabia 3-0 Sunday in its
second warmup for this summer's World Cup, where it opens against the United
States.
Oliver Bierhoff scored in the 18th minute, Thomas Helmer added a goal
in the 72nd and Olaf Marschall scored in the final minute for Germany, which
beat Oman 2-0 last week.
Saudi Arabia, which also plays in this summer's World Cup, is coached
by Carlos Alberto Parreira, who led Brazil to the title in 1994.
