Italy's list to be announced next Thursday

ROME (AP) -- Italy's World Cup team will begin preparation for the World Cup on May 22, the day after coach Cesare Maldini announces the final list of 22 players.
Maldini, who has been mulling over whether to call up veteran star Roberto Baggio and Juventus young striker Filippo Inzaghi, will decide the final roster shortly after nest week's Champions' Cup final pitting Juventus against Real Madrid next Wednesday in Amsterdam.
"Let's hope I must not make any last-minute change because of injuries in the last club match of the season," Maldini said.
The Italian coach said he already had the 22 names in mind, but refused to give any indication.
Baggio, Italy's World Cup hero in the 1994 World Cup edition in the United States, has not been playing on the Italian team recently but has shown an impressive form with Bologna, scoring 20 goals in league matches.
Inzaghi had 18 goals with Juventus, scoring three in last Sunday's decisive game against Bologna which earned the Turin team its second consecutive Serie A title.
Italian soccer officials said today that Italian players will be train at Coverciano, near Florence, from May 22 to May 31 before moving to Sweden for Italy's last warmup before the World Cup. The Sweden-Italy match is scheduled for June 2.
The Italian party will travel to France on June 5. It will be based north of Paris.
Italy is bracketed with Chile, Cameroon and Austria in Group-B. It plays its first match against Chile at Bordeaux on June 11.
