Paris to dress up subway for World Cup
PARIS (AP) -- The French metro and suburban trains will be transformed into a moving
festival with music, food, and dancing for travellers during the World Cup, transport authorities
said today.
There will also be exhibits, introduction to painting and traditional French arts among the
attractions offered at 60 different places in the metro, said Jean-Paul Bailly, the director of the
RATP, the French regional transport authority.
Japan is kicking off the festivities with the Japanese ambassador expected to open an
exhibit to his country at the Trocadero metro station this afternoon.
