    Frosty faceoff

By TERRY JONES -- Edmonton Sun
Windy. Within three degrees of zero Celcius. Possible snow flurries in the morning. Probably no snow in the afternoon. Cloudy with sunny periods.
That's the forcast for noon Sunday and the Canada-Mexico World Cup Qualifier at Commonwealth Stadium.
Who in the world is going to watch a soccer game in that weather?
"Well, we had a Mexican walk in our office and buy 62 tickets,'' said Gary Sampley of the Alberta Soccer Association day yesterday.
"It always amazes me when these fans from Central America just show up out of the woodwork like that.''
Not including that Mexican batch, so far 10,713 have purchased tickets for the game that Crystal Glass owner Ed Bean and the various local and regional soccer associations purchased for $250,000 from the Canadian Soccer Association.
Bean figures he needs an NHL-sized crowd to break even.
