Naples hosts second leg of Italy-Russia playoff
ROME (AP) -- Italy has chosen Naples to host its home leg of the
two-game playoff against Russia for a spot in next year's World Cup finals, the
national federation said Tuesday.
The match will be played Nov. 15. The first game, in Moscow, will be
Oct. 29.
The Italian league, meanwhile, rescheduled club matches that had been
slated for Oct. 26 and Nov. 16, pushing each Sunday's games back one week.
The Serie A season will end one week later than originally planned,
with games on May 17. The other lost week will be made up by playing a rare
Wednesday schedule on Feb. 11.
