South Korea moves within point of World Cup

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (AP) -- South Korea moved within a point of its fourth straight World Cup appearance Saturday, getting two goals from midfielder Choi Yong-soo and routing Uzbekistan 5-1.
The victory improved South Korea to 5-1-0 atop Asia second-round Group B and 16 points, nine more than the United Arab Emirates, which lost 3-0 to Kazakstan on Saturday and has three games remaining.
A draw by Korea in either of its two remaining matches, against Japan at home or at the United Arab Emirates, or anything less than a victory by the Emirates it its three matches will send the Koreans to their fifth appearance in the World Cup.
Choi scored both of his goals in the first 41 minutes and helped Korea to a 3-0 halftime lead.
