Qatar beats China 3-2 in qualifier
DALIAN, China (AP) -- Qatar beat a luckluster Chinese team 3-2 in a World Cup qualifier today, a result that all but dashed China's hopes of qualifying for next year's tournament in France.China scored first, but Qatar tied it toward the end of the first half, then scored twice in the second half to take a 3-1 lead.
A second Chinese goal took the score to 3-2, but they were unable to even the match before the final whistle, despite stepping up the pressure on Qatar towards the end of the second half.
