Ferrara status in doubt for WC clash
TURIN, Italy (AP) -- Central defender Ciro Ferrara's status is in doubt
for next weekend's World Cup clash between Italy and England after he limped off
the field Sunday.
Ferrara left the Serie A game between his club, Juventus, and
Fiorentina with eight minutes remaining. An initial examination showed a right
hamstring strain.
The 30-year-old will have X-rays done today and then will take the
film with him to the national team's training site.
